A drain valve has been installed in Rajastan village of Rajasthani, in the state of Rajastani.
The state government has decided to install a drain valve in the village after residents complained about the polluted water level, said an official.
The villagers had complained about high levels of pollution in the water source which is located in the nearby town of Bhavnagar.
The villagers had also alleged that the water in the source had become polluted due to the presence of sewage and untreated sewage.
A government official said the village would have to pay Rs 2 crore for the installation of the drain valve.
In the past, villagers have complained about sewage pollution in Rajasanta, the capital of the Jharkhand state, the official added.
