How to replace your PCV valve and replace the carpet replacement article How do you replace your pcv valve?
How do I replace my pcv ?
A lot of the time it’s just like any other replacement.
In fact, it may even be worse.
But the simple fact is, the valve is not an easy job.
Here’s the problem with replacing a valve.
If you have the valve, you don’t have to do it.
You don’t even have to know what it does.
But you do need to know how to use it.
So, what you need to do is find out what the valve does.
And that’s exactly what I’m going to show you.
I’m not going to do this on a video or on a text-based site.
You should see this for yourself.
You can find it at Home Depot or at a hardware store.
You’re going to have to be able to use your hands, which is a little weird.
I think that’s one of the reasons I’m teaching this class.
I can’t imagine you can do this without some kind of a glove on your hands.
So this is going to be really easy to do.
Here are the basic steps to replace a pcv.
Identify what valve you have.
For this example, I’m replacing the PCV in my PCV, which has the word “PCV” in it.
This is the Valve with the word PCV on it. 2.
Put the valve on the valve post.
The valve will be in the post and on the ground.
This will allow the valve to attach itself to the post, so that it will work as intended.
Remove the valve.
You are now ready to replace the valve with a new one.
Put a rag or something that will not bleed into the valve and then put the new valve on. 4.
Remove from the valve the rubber gaskets that hold the valve in place.
The gasket should be easily removed by hand.
Take a rag and apply a small amount of glue.
This should be easy to find and apply.
Make sure the gasket is not stuck on the top or bottom of the valve as you are applying the glue.
When the valve has been installed, it should be fairly clear that there is a gasket.
Make the gasketer snug.
You want the valve seal to be tight and the gapper not too loose.
Apply a small number of thin layers of rubber to the valve cover.
The rubber should be very thin.
You may need to apply more than a few layers.
The seal should still be tight.
The end of the gapping should be secure, and you should be able put the valve back in.
This step is very important.
The more secure the gassing is, you should have no issues replacing the valve again.
If the valve doesn’t come out completely, put it back in for a few minutes.
If it does come out, you can re-attach it with the new gasket if necessary.
You will be able replace the gagging valve again, if necessary, because the new rubber gasket will prevent the gaging valve from gapping again.
Now, when you’re done with the valve replacement, you will have a valve that will do exactly what you wanted it to do, even if you didn’t know how it worked.
